Weekend to-do in KL – Aquaria KLCC

Aquaria KLCC

Aquaria KLCC is an indoor aquarium located at KLCC. It’s a great place to bring the kids. And yes you can bring your stroller througout the place. Kids could walk around looking at various fishes and touch some of them too (yes be gentle). Our favorite part is the aquarium tunnel where when the big sting ray passes or a big shark, the tunnel got slightly darker. And you’d see the kids go ooohhhh and aaahhh. Since its connected to Suria KLCC, getting meals or continuing the walkabout is right next door.

Getting there:

Going to KLCC is super easy. You can drive of course. But please be mindful the parking fee at KLCC area can be pricey (RM5 for first 1 hour and RM4/hour after that). But if you prefer public transport you can take the train or LRT to KLCC station, grab, buses, taxis. All are possible. My favorite way would be parking my car at any office building connected to Ampang Park LRT station which is one station away from KLCC because weekend parking rate at office buildings are flat rate. For example Intermark mall is like RM5/entry. And take LRT ride to KLCC.

Admission Fee:

Since I discovered klook, I bought most of my admission tickets via the apps. Its great to skip the long line at the counter and they often have bundle packages and offers. Our recent admission tickets for two adults and 1 child was RM91.

Time allocation:

For me around 1hr 30 min max

Tips:

Avoid the weekend crowd as it get pretty packed inside. But if you still want to go on weekend, no problem, just go there early before noon. When you are done and out for lunch you would skip the heavy crowd which would start to build up.
